Chairman’s Corner
Thank you for the opportunity to lead the DC Young Republicans in 2012. This will be a pivotal year for Republicans and I am confident DCYRs can play a major role in electing Republicans. With our passion, determination and youth voice, we bring a unique element to campaigns, and we will work hard to ensure we have the numbers necessary to make our voice heard. To do this, we will follow a “RED Strategy” – Recruit, Engage, Deploy.RECRUIT. ENGAGE. DEPLOY.Recruit.: Through monthly happy hours, service projects and other events we will peak young conservatives’ interest in the DCYRs. By providing a welcoming environment, we’ll give people a reason to come back to DCYRs – and to become a part of it.Engage.: From monthly meetings with VIP speakers to job postings to membership benefits, DCYRs can be the place to be for young conservatives. We will encourage individuals to become a member by emphasizing benefits, unity and effectiveness of DCYRs.
Deploy.: While increasing the membership of our organization, we will leverage the talents of young conservatives to help candidates around the country. Highlighting our youth, passion and commitment to Republican principles, we’ll help Republicans hold on to the House and take back the Senate and White House.
Following these three steps, DCYRs will be poised to make a difference in 2012. I know that we can be successful this year, and will count on each of the talented members of the DCYRs. Let’s make our voice heard and help elect Republicans in 2012!
