The Final Push! One Week Left!
Hey ROCKSTAR Republicans!
Each and every one of you have truly stepped up and taken a stand for our rights as Americans to help determine the direction our country takes after November 2nd. You’ve given your time, energy, and weekends to travel across the country to help get GOP candidates elected and should be PROUD of yourself and these efforts. In total, DCYRs have made 51,850 voter contacts in 12 cities in 6 states so far this fall, and we’re not done yet!
There are still 8 days left until E-Day and many more opportunities to help ensure GOP Victory and a RED NOVEMBER!

· DCYR Night at the RNC phone bank!
Wednesday 10/29: The DCYRs have been phone banking at the RNC every Wednesday since August and there’s only ONE WEEK LEFT! Please join the DCYR dial team this Wednesday to make calls from 6:00 – 8:30, dinner included, followed by drinks at Tortilla Coast! Details: http://tinyurl.com/26t4925

Saturday 10/30: Day trip to Fairfax, VA (Vienna metro/orange line)!

-Arrive at Vienna metro at 9:30 am Saturday morning to car pool to HQ & wrap up around 5 pm Saturday evening
Sunday 10/31: Day trip to Charlottesville, VA!

· DCYRs at Home: DC
Monday, 11/1: We have some great local candidates in DC, many of whom are YR’s, so we’ll be helping them prep for E-Day on Monday night after work! We’ll meet at the DCGOP HQ (1275 K St, NW) at 6:00, dinner and refreshments will be provided. Sign up: http://tinyurl.com/27v5nlx
Tuesday, 11/2: ELECTION DAY – we’ll be helping our local DC candidates at the polls! If you can spend an hour or two (or your lunch break!) passing out literature at a polling station, let us know! If interested, email DCYR and DCGOP Ward 2 Chair, Rachel Hoff, at Rachel.Hoff@gmail.com and we’ll let you know where your closest polling station is!

We’re going to North Carolina!
As I’m sure you’ve heard, the DC Young Republicans are helping take back America this fall, one state at a time. Next stop: North Carolina! Volunteering your time in the Tar Heel State will ensure the Democratic candidates DON’T STAND A CHANCE — so we can’t thank you enough. We’ll be going door-to-door and making calls to reach out to voters in Raleigh this weekend, October 15-17.

Schedule for North Carolina Deployment October 15-17 2010
All transportation, lodging, and food costs are FREE to volunteers!
Friday:
7:45 pm – Arrive and check-in with Brittny McKinney or Janelle Hervig (will have clipboards) for trip in front of the Capitol Hill Club/RNC (Capitol South metro orange/blue lines)
8:00 pm – Bus departs for North Carolina
*Plan to eat dinner before getting on the bus or bring something with you. It is a 6 hour drive so we will be arriving at the hotel early Saturday morning. Wear comfortable clothes/shoes!
Saturday: Weather report is sunny, high 74 and low 49
8:30 am – Meet in hotel lobby to head to the GOP HQ
9:00 am – Meet at GOP HQ for breakfast and split into groups for going door-to-door and making calls
9:30 am -1:30 pm – Door to door & phone banking
1:30 – 2:00 pm – Lunch will be provided
2:00 – 8:00 pm – Door to door & phone banking
6:00/6:30 pm – Dinner will be provided
*Saturday evening – Social activity at a bar in Raleigh. TBD!
Sunday: Weather report is sunny, high of 75 and low of 50
10:00 am – Meet in lobby packed and ready to load the bus
10:30 – Breakfast at GOP HQ
11:00 am – 2:00 pm – door to door & phone banking
2:00 pm – Lunch at HQ
3:00 pm – Bus departs for DC
9:00 pm – ETA
