426324_360303260716884_266249032_nWe all know it isn’t easy being “Right” in DC.  But, since August 2012RightDC.com has been making our lives in the Capitol City just a little easier.  As the “official blog of the DC Young Republicans,” We here at RightDC offer a unique point of information for local – and national – political issues by providing high-quality original content and unparalleled opportunity for intelligent, public debates between members of the Republican Party of all ideological stripes.

As we celebrate our seventh month of publication, RightDC.com, with the support of the DCYRs invites YOU to join us for the DCYRs February Happy Hour featuring the OFFICIAL Launch Party of RightDC.com!

Next Tuesday, February 26th, from 6:30-9:00 p.m., join us for networking, debate, and of course drink specials as we take over the entire lower level of the Pour House on Capitol Hill!  (Click here for more details, and to RSVP on Facebook)

Our diverse team of regular and guest contributors has taken on the mainstream media bias in hard-hitting response pieces, cautioned our peers about “the most dangerous saying in America today” and even “the ‘most dangerous words in the American Constitution.’”  We have called out an over-reaching government on ways Maryland speed cameras are operating illegallyoffered a defense of the Second Amendment, and lamented the re-definition of the American Dream.  Our campaign experts have recommended ways for even the youngest Young Republican to take meaningful action during elections; they have criticized local candidates who tried to sell out their party, and even blew the minds of biased media by making “A Gay American’s Case for Mitt Romney.”  We have hosted the stories of converts – “From Democrat To DCYR Chairwoman” – and regularly defended Republicans as: “The Real Party of Tolerance: Differences in Ideas Are Welcome Here.”  And together we have written muchmuchmore.

Not all of these ideas fit together cleanly – but they all belong to Young Republicans who fearlessly defend their ideas and convictions to a party constantly in flux. The DCYRs have long been recognized as “leaders of today, not just leaders of tomorrow,” and the contributors at RightDC.com continue to prove this claim.  As the Republican Party collectively debates what it should be today, tomorrow, two years from now, four years from now, and on into the future; the writers of RightDC.com add their voice to the mix.

While many of our professional positions limit how, when, and where our personal ideas for the party’s prosperity may be shared, the platform of RightDC.com is open to all who can string together a cohesive argument on a timely issue with local, or national, relevance for the Republican Party.

You may always feel free to e-mail me, the Editor-In-Chief, or DCYR’s Vice-Chair of Communications, James Christophersen (James.Christophersen@DCYRs.com) for details on how you can become involved!  But the best way to get your questions answered and to add your voice to the conversation is to show up on Tuesday night!  And I hope to see you there!

James Christophersen contributed greatly to this invitation.  Click here to read the post, in its original format, on RightDC.com.

Candidate for Chairman - Stephen Jackson

Stephen JacksonCurrently the National Committeeman of the DCYRs and Campaign Committee chairman for the Young Republican National Federation, Stephen Jackson is running to lead the DCYRs as its next Chairman.

Stephen pounded doors and pavement throughout the past two elections. Nearly every week this fall, he organized and personally led deployments in various states for numerous Republican candidates. His tireless work lead to the deployment of over 500 DCYRs who made over 160,000 voter contacts where they were most needed – tough swing districts.

Stephen will bring the enthusiasm and commitment he demonstrated organizing and campaigning to the position of DCYR Chairman. He’ll continue to find interesting and relevant speakers for meetings, provide volunteer opportunities for DCYR members, and keep the DCYRs active in D.C. politics.

Stephen asks for your support, and hopes you’ll join him in making 2013 an excellent year for the DCYRs as we work towards a fruitful 2014!

Candidate for National Committeeman - Daniel Goldbeck

Dan goldbeckMy name is Dan Goldbeck and I seek to be your next DCYR National Committeeman. I believe I have the vision and experience to excel in representing the DC Young Republicans.

I have been a member of the DCYRs for over two years now. During that time, I’ve participated in nearly every campaign opportunity presented. Through working on various campaigns across different locales, I feel capable of working with our national network to advance the goals of our YR chapter and the Republican Party at large.

My vision is to help build a bigger, bolder party. The right ideas and proposals are out there, we just have to be more focused and refined in promoting them. I think the DCYRs have plenty to say about the direction of our party, and would be honored to be your voice to the national party as our national dialogue develops.

Candidate for National Committeewoman - Katie Poedtke

katie PoedtkeAfter serving as our Vice-Chair of Membership during this past year of extraordinary membership growth and involvement, I have a unique understanding of exactly who makes up the DCYRs, what our abilities are, and what our needs are when it comes to collaboration with and support from the Young Republican National Federation. That’s why, this year, I want to represent our organization not only around town, but nationally, and to the YRNF as our National Committeewoman. I got to see firsthand just how important the NCM and NCW are when I attended an YRNF meeting last fall, and I would be thrilled attend this year as an official representative of the DCYRs, an organization I am very proud to be a part of. You can be sure that as NCW, I will be committed to ensuring that DCYRs remains an organization that you’re proud to be a part of, too.

Candidates for Executive Vice-Chair

Susey Davis

Susey DavisI have lived in Washington, DC for five years and have fallen in love with the city and atmosphere of the growing young professional base. I currently work at a fundraising firm where I help communicate with Chiefs of Staff, Campaign Managers, and the lobbying community to raise money and win elections. All too familiar with working long hours, I promise that I will put my full dedication and hard work into the DCYRs Executive Vice-Chair Position.

I hope to grow membership by reaching out to the local college republicans, and getting them involved in our volunteer and campaign projects. I also want to create a program that will train and support young republicans in running for local office. If we want to switch the Democrat majority in our city government, we should start from the bottom up, and get people interested in running for ANC.

Thank you DCYR!

Travis Korson

Travis KorsonElections, outreach and membership development. If re-elected as DCYR Executive Vice-Chairman, these are the areas of focus I will work to advance. Last cycle the DCYRs made almost 200k voter contacts. I will work to leverage the DCYRs energy, and my working relationship both with the Mara campaign and DCGOP, in the current special election to offer members more opportunities for involvement. Placing more emphasis on DC provides an opportunity for the YRs to grow. By fostering existing relationships and seeking out new ones, I pledge to make the DCYRs more active in Washington.  Membership development is important for our group’s success.  Whether that’s networking opportunities, increasing members-only benefits, including a DCYRs referred job bank, or other initiatives, I promise to offer ideas and support to the other Vice-Chairs.  If re-elected I promise to work with you to grow the DCYRs together. I hope I can count on your support.

Candidates for Vice-Chair of Finance

Dan Hoicowitz

Dan HoicowitzFriends, I want to ask for your vote and support for the role of DCYR Vice Chair of Finance. I have been active in local politics since I came to DC as freshman at American University several years ago. I have seen politics from a variety of roles including the field, finance, communications, and working in a team with a diverse group of people. Currently, I am managing Patrick Mara’s campaign for DC Council At-Large. I believe my background and experience makes me well adept at fulling the role of Vice Chair of Finance. I hope you consider me on March 27, 2013.

Kailee Tkacz

Kailee TkaczI’m running to become the VC of Finance because not only am I committed to the necessary tasks of collecting and approving disbursements in a timely and efficient manner, but aim to expand this position to include various fundraising capabilities. With my knowledge, network, and dedication I seek to bring DCYR to a new level financially allowing us as an organization to both increase our profile and prosper long-term.

Professionally, I work at the National Grocers Association (NGA) as Government Affairs Manager where I deal with various budgetary issues, work with our Grocers PAC, and manage relationships with key Members of Congress. Prior to my role at NGA I worked as a Tax Analyst at both the American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC) and the Tax Foundation which makes me qualified to handle DCYR financial matters. I have been an active and engaged member of DCYR for over a year.

Candidate for Vice-Chair of Membership - Robert Sinners

My aspiriation to lead you as Membership Chair is based upon one philosophy: to provide a networking and civic involvement opportunity for new and temporary DC residents who are looking to become proactive members of their newfound community here in The District.

Without the leadership of DCYR’s, I feel that my transition after college and into DC wouldnt have been nearly as successful. The campaign opportunities, friends, and growth that the organization has provided is priceless- now, I’d like to reach out and ensure that the next crop arrives safely under our wing. With a focus on not only recruiting new members, but assisting with professional development and personal growth, we will attain a new pinnacle of success

I hope to have your support, and that I may be able to share my vision with you in the future.

Thank you for your time, and I look forward to serving you.

Candidate for Vice-Chair of Communications - Christopher Taylor

Chris TaylorI believe the conservative movement is not necessarily in need of change, a doctrinal shift, or reform; but strong concise leadership. On the national stage as well as grassroot movements, the members and volunteers of the Young Republicans perform a strong and very dynamic outreach. We represent many different views of conservatism and hail from many different parts of the country. It is my desire as Communications Chair to effectively reach out to all members and to utilize our individual strengths to benefit our organization and those whom we represent. I bring strong and knowlegable traits in electronic media and oratory with me. I will devote all of the time needed to maintain the organization that our predecessors and we have made so successful, and to remain one of the premier Young Republican organizations in America.

Candidate for Vice-Chair of Events - Jen Stello

Jen StelloIt has been an honor to serve as your Vice Chair of Events for the 2012-2013 term and hope you will re-elect me for a second term. This past year I have worked hard to listen to the membership to provide opportunities and host events all of our members can get excited about and plan to continue into the next year!

Once elected we’ll expand our community service activities not only through fundraising and donations efforts but also through fun volunteer events and will of course maintain the high standard of events which makes being a DCYR so great!

Thank you for your consideration and I look forward to the 2013-2014 year!

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Supporting Republican candidates, locally, and across the country, has always been a hallmark of the DC Young Republicans (DCYRs). Through this election cycle the DCYRs efforts have surged above and beyond anyone’s expectations, setting records in multiple states as more than 500 DC-area Young Republicans have deployed on 12 trips to 9 different states accumulating a collective total of over 161,000 voter contacts in the last three months alone.

Additional efforts for local and special elections bring the total to 194,600 voter contacts since January 2012.

When asked about their efforts, the DCYRs Chairman, Katie Todd, had this to say: “After traveling around the country to get out the vote, the DCYRs’ excitement about Election Day is palpable. Our members have demonstrated the very best of their generation with their passion and resolve to get America back on track by electing Romney/Ryan and the Republican ticket.”

She continued, “Recognizing the importance of grassroots efforts, DCYRs have worked tirelessly reaching out to voters in key battleground states about the choice between two distinct visions for our country. We are confident these efforts will pay off. Thank you to our amazing membership who turned out each weekend to volunteer, and to Stephen Jackson, our National Committeeman, for leading this tremendous effort mobilizing and recruiting new members in this effort.”

The records set by the DCYRs in their campaign have received additional acclaim due to the wholly volunteer nature of the organization. All membership and leadership, including board members, are volunteers who receive no compensation for their efforts, taking their evenings, weekends, and vacation days from their professional positions to support Republican candidates across the country and DCYRs projects.

DCYR Members Make Strong Showing On DC GOP “35 Under 35 List”

Events | Uncategorized 1 1 Comment

On Thursday, the District of Columbia Republican Committee (DC GOP) announced its first annual “35 Under 35 List”, self-described as “Honoring DC’s 35 Most Influential Republicans Under 35”.  Honorees included eight Members of the DC Young Republicans (DCYR), specifically, Former DCYR Chairman, Rich Counts; current DCYR Vice Chair of Communications, James Christophersen; and DCYR Members Rachel Hoff, Whitney Hurt, Alex Schriver, Derek Khanna, Francesca Chambers, and Shoshana Weissmann.

The DC GOP’s 35 Under 35 Program was originally established last year by two Young Republicans, Jill Homan and Tom Weirich.

“The DC GOP is proud to unveil the list of the 35 most influential young Republicans under 35 who demonstrate a strong commitment to the goals of our urban party and dedication to conservative principles which will help guide the next generation of leaders in our nation’s capital,” stated Republican National Committeewoman for DC – Elect Jill Homan and Tom Weirich, Founding Chairs of the 35 Under 35 Program.

Christophersen, DCYR Vice-Chair of Communications, stated: “The DC Young Republicans have long emphasized our organization as striving to produce ‘Leaders of Today, Not Just Leaders of Tomorrow.’  The honors bestowed on eight of our current members named to the DC GOP’s inaugural ‘35 Under 35 List’ underscores our successes in that mission and will serve as an inspiration to all DCYR members.  I consider it a distinct honor to be included among so many notable leaders and close friends.”

Candidates for Executive Vice Chair Special Election

Elections | Events | monthly meeting | Uncategorized 0 No Comments

How better to ring in the celebration of freedom and the anniversary of the United States than with a good old-fashioned Special Election with the DC Young Republicans?

Join us for our July meeting, and Special Election for Executive Vice Chair, next Monday, July 9th, at 7:00pm at the National Republican Club of Capitol Hill (The Capitol Hill Club)!

The following statements, are the exact language issued by the candidates and their campaigns, and do not necessary reflect the position of the DCYRs, or in any way imply an endorsement of their ideas or candidacy for office.  The DCYRs is in no way responsible for the veracity of any candidates’ statement or the opinions contained within.

The Full List of Candidates (Alphabetically):
Erik Amford
Dan Goldbeck (Write-in-Candidate)
Stacey Harms
Jason Hatz
Travis Korson
Matt Naugle
Nick Paige

Candidates for Executive Vice Chair Special Election

Travis Korson

I am running for DCYR Executive Vice-Chair in the midst of a pivotal time for the Republican Party. Active and energized Republican groups are key to victory in 2012, and I hope to help lead such a group.

Three things are required for a strong YR chapter: a large and engaged membership, opportunities for fellow YRs to connect and strong support for Republican candidates.

A large and engaged membership is important for the DCYRs. As Executive Vice-Chair I would work to identify and recruit young Republicans and conservative leaders through membership drives, advertising campaigns and by forging partnerships with like-minded groups.

As DCYR membership grows it’s important to provide opportunities for members old and new to connect. I believe adding new events such as a “Speed Networking” night in addition to other recent special programming are great ways for DCYRs to catch up.

Ultimately, the DC Young Republicans want to provide an energized base that campaigns can call on to help push them over the top in key races. If elected, I would work to leverage our vibrant membership into volunteers and maintain an active calendar of local phone banking and deployment opportunities through Election Day.

I am an experienced conservative who if elected will work tirelessly to promote the Republican cause and put these ideas into place. I am fortunate enough to have the support of former YR Chapter chairs Rich Counts and Tommy Sears, as well as former Executive Vice-Chair Dave McCormack. If elected, I promise to help make 2012 a great year for the DCYRs.

Matt Naugle

With dreams of becoming an underwear model, Matt Naugle found he was more likely to find steady employment in the think tank world. The (Cleveland) Plain Dealer called Matt the most influential blogger in Ohio, and he was responsible for the resignation of a corrupt state attorney general. He made this happen from the comfort of his pajamas.  Matt was highly active in the Ohio YRs under the auspices of now YR National Chairwoman Lisa Stickan, who is a cool chick.  Also, Matt worked for the Council for National Policy, The American Spectator, Attorney General Ed Meese’s organization, and as an opposition researcher.

Our party needs more Lee Atwaters and fewer Michael Steeles. Elect him, and he will help build the club, expand our efforts to help elect Republicans, and make sure we have the type of mischievous fun that YRs had when Roger Stone ran things.

Don’t immanentize the eschaton.

Vote (for Naugle) or Die

Nick Paige

My name is Nick Paige, and I would be an excellent Vice Chair for three reasons. First off, I am an actual native of the District. I was born and raised in Cleveland Park, and currently reside in Glover Park, which has allowed me to have unique exposure to local and federal politics. I am deeply immersed in both levels of government, and am a regular contributor to the Armstrong Williams Radio Program on political subjects. Secondly, I work extremely well with others and enjoy meeting diverse groups of people. As a nineteen year old freshman at the University of Miami, I was elected Finance Chair of College Republicans and co-founded a conservative campus newspaper now featured in the magazine Backlash in south Florida. I was also elected Social Chair for College Republicans as a senior at the University of Mary Washington. I helped to expand both of these organizations’ bandwidths by meeting with students to discuss their concerns, and based on their comments I was able to bring new perspectives and ideas to the head chairman and the board.

Finally, my experience working successfully in these organizations would translate to the DC Young Republicans, and what I see as their greatest need: growth in both size and recognition. My extensive knowledge of the city, my prior experience, and my people skills will be a powerful combination to help give the DC Young Republicans the name recognition we deserve so we can be more effective in Grassroots Republican Politics.

Write-in-Candidate: Dan Goldbeck

My name is Dan Goldbeck and I am running as a write-in candidate for Executive Vice Chair of the DCYRs. Having been heavily involved with everything from deployments to canvassing to social events for the past year, I’ve seen what we’ve done and where we can grow. We already have a terrific executive board in place. I can jump right in and help them lead our efforts in the coming months.

In case you haven’t heard, 2012 is an election year. And I bring just the skills and experience to help ensure victory. On the local level, I am very involved with the DC GOP and will work closely with their leadership to finally get a few more Republicans elected in this town. Having established connections with YR leaders in VA and elsewhere, I look forward to coordinating our efforts to help regain the Senate and grow our House majority. And finally, the most important issue is making President Obama a one-term president. DCYRs have been recognized nationally year-after-year, cycle-after-cycle for our GOTV efforts. Whether it be deployments to nearby battleground states or phone-banking over at the RNC, I want to ensure that DCYRs continue to excel.

That’s my vision. I’d ask for support and your vote. On July 9th, write in Dan Goldbeck on your ballot.

DCYRs 2012 Election Candidates

Elections | Events | Uncategorized 0 No Comments

The DC Young Republicans are proud to announce our list of candidates for DCYR Executive Board. Elections will be held soon- stay tuned for more information.

The official candidates, in order of position on the ballot:

Chairman - Katie Todd, Michael Moroney
National Committeeman - Andrew Lee, David Barnes
National Committeewoman - Laura Chambers
Executive Vice-Chair - Neri Ann Martinez, Andrew Huff, Samuel Moore
VC of Finance - Dustin Deberry
Vice-Chair of Membership - Katie Poedtke, Cassandra Baker
Vice-Chair of Communications - James Christophersen
Vice-Chair of Events - Jen Stello

As per the DCYR constitution, you can conduct your own write-in campaign for any position. We have included one such write-in candidate here who will not be appearing on the ballot officially. Other committee positions will be assigned after the election, so if you’re interested in getting involved with any area of the DCYRs, feel free to let us know at one of our meetings and we will be happy to plug you in.

Chair

Katie Todd

DC Young Republicans have the opportunity to make a major difference in 2012 and I believe I am the right person to serve as Chairman during this effort. Through deployments, DCYRs can help Republican candidates throughout the nation get elected. With our passion, determination and youth voice, we bring a unique element to elections – as long as we have the numbers to make a difference.

As Vice Chairman of Events, I’ve employed creative ways of attracting young conservatives to the DCYRs, and it will take this type of effort and more to continue to increase our membership and, thus, our influence. Together, we can make a difference in 2012. Please reach out with questions and I hope to count on your support for Chairman!

 Michael Moroney

I’m running for Chair of the DC Young Republicans because I have the experience, relationships, and passion to make DCYRs a major player in the 2012 election. With the RNC unlikely to fund deployments this year, I believe that DCYR and YRNF deployments are the key to taking out Obama, and I’m the only candidate running who has campaign experience and is qualified to lead a national effort.

While events and happy hours are important to attract new members, I plan to eat, sleep and breathe GOTV. I also want to see DCYRs become more inclusive and curb its reputation for being cliquish and exclusive.

Together, with a lot of hard work, we can help Republicans take back the Senate and the White House.

National Committeeman

Andrew Lee

I currently serve as DCYRs Vice-Chair of Membership, where I have recruited new members and streamlined the process. In college, I became wrapped up in Obamamania, until I realized liberalism and dependence on government is not the answer, and I have been a strong Republican ever since. I came to reject the ideology of big-government and have spent the last three years fighting on behalf of members like you.

I’ve worked on the Hill and in charter schools for conservative causes. If we lose the youth vote by two-thirds as we did in 2008, Obama will be reelected. I will fight on your behalf at the national level to ensure that deployments and youth remain a priority. I will be proud to be your Committeeman.

David Barnes

I’m running to be our new National Committeeman because I want to make sure the DCYRs do everything we can to help win the 2012 elections. A strong get-out-the-vote effort will be crucial in November, and we’ll need to build upon the great deploy

ments done in previous election cycles. If elected, I plan to make sure we focus our efforts on picking the right districts to travel to so that we maximize our scarce resources.

On a personal level, I’ve been an active DCYR for the past three years and otherwise held leadership roles in several other young professional groups focusing on the liberty movement. I’m a lifelong libertarian conservative who’s worked at The Heritage Foundation and the Republican National Committee.

National Committeeman Write in Candidate: Stephen Jackson

Hi, my name is Stephen Jackson, and I’m running as a write-in candidate for National Committeeman. Write-in campaigns aren’t conventional, but neither are the DCYRs! We’re a unique, forward-thinking organization making waves across the nation because of our energy, diversity, and welcoming environment. Coming together as like-minded individuals, we believe in working positively to spread Republican ideals to make DC – and our nation – a better place.

Working as Coalitions Director, I’ve fostered relationships with other DC-based organizations, a skill vital to succeed as NCM. Now I’m ready to nationally represent the DCYRs. I’ll put the time, effort, and sweat-equity into growing our group while also ensuring we remain outstanding in service and commitment.

My name isn’t on the ballot, so don’t forget your pen!

Andrew Huff

I am running for Executive Vice Chair because I have the personal drive, leadership skills, management experience, and key relationships that will take the DC Young Republicans to the next level in the ever-critical 2012 election year.

With Election Day being only a little over 8 months away, I am prepared to do what it takes now to ensure we have the manpower to operate successful deployments and phone-banks leading up to November. I will be on Capitol Hill recruiting new members daily, and will also be raising funds from 3rd party organizations which will enable us to finance widely-attended events before the Fall. I recently joined the staff of a House committee, and for the last two years lobbied for small investment funds.

Samuel Moore

As your current DCYR National Committeeman, former DCYR Vice-Chair of Membership and member of the D.C. Republican Committee I’ve worked with local and national bodies to build and broaden our capacity, to make our organization a more effective deployment force while maintaining our unique and influential role both in local and national politics.

As always, this year’s election is the most important ever, it will require my skills and experience to help guide our agenda and to help facilitate our efforts in winning back the Senate, White House, and even a seat in the Wilson Building.

I’m not the establishment, but I am experienced and I look forward to working with each of you to take the D.C. Young Republicans to the next level.

Vice-Chair of Membership

Katie Poedtke

I’m running for Vice Chair of Membership because I know that growing and maintaining a strong membership base is critical to our organization’s ability have an impact in our community, and in our nation, leading up to the most important election of our lifetimes. We’ve got quite a range of conservative, Republican, libertarian, and otherwise freedom-loving young professionals in our ranks, but we all find common ground in concern for where our country is headed, and there are more and more like us out there waking up to that reality every day. They just need to be reached. I can do that, I’m ready to do that, and I am thrilled by the prospect of being able to do that in a more official and strategic way as VC of Membership.

Cassandra Baker

I’m running for Vice Chair of Membership because I would bring a sense of friendliness and approachability to the position as well as a rich background in recruitment and membership growth. As part of my job, I recruit interns and employees everyday. Due to my involvement in Greek Life in college and grassroots campaigning here in D.C., I know how to bring people into our fold and — more crucially — ensure their retention.

People join DCYRs for the unique connections they make — connections with high-profile speakers, national campaigns, and (most importantly!) each other. As Membership Chair, I’d work closely with both our Vice Chairman and our Events Chair to ensure opportunities for new and old members to make these connections and continue DCYRs’ tenure as one of the most vibrant YRNF chapters in our Nation. I look forward to working with you and the rest of the Executive Board in 2012!

Vice-Chair of Communications

James Christophersen

Not necessarily every opportunity which arises appears attractive, manageable, or worthwhile at first. However the last four months bombarding the DCYR’s with puns, events, announcements, and opportunities through the “Scene” Newsletter I have found my experience working with the DCYR Communications team to be both instructive and rewarding. Working closely with our current Vice-Chair of Communications, Kimberly Hudson; I have already learned the basic responsibilities of the post, and built on the platform she established by expanding the size of our team.

Professionally I work as Executive Director of Judicial Action Group, a small non-profit organization whose size lends extensive communications responsibilities to my job description. I hope to continue applying these skills as a volunteer in a vital election year full of opportunities for the DCYRs to be noticed, and to make a difference.

Vice-Chair of Events

Jen Stello

While serving under three different Events Committee Vice Chairs as an active member of the DC Young Republicans, I have gained the knowledge and experience to continue our strong tradition of exciting and fun events. I believe in the importance of having a well-rounded organization which includes many aspects of the events committee from invigorating meetings and fun happy hours to profitable fundraisers and myriad volunteer opportunities.

If elected I would look to expand our fundraising and volunteering efforts as well as maintain the high quality of events to which we’ve become accustom. Thank you for considering me and I look forward to working with you and for you in 2012!

The DC Young Republicans are proud to announce our list of candidates for DCYR Executive Board. Elections will be held soon- stay tuned for more information. The official candidates, in order of position on the ballot: Chairman - Katie Todd, Michael Moroney National Committeeman - Andrew Lee, David Barnes National Committeewoman - Laura Chambers Executive Vice-Chair - Neri Ann Martinez, Andrew Huff, Samuel…
